REPORT
‘’A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the center of universe’’
Under the able guidance of the School Principal Mr. Arvind Bhatia and the Head Mistress Ms. Bhawna Gaba, A three-day Orientation Programme was organized to welcome our Preschoolers. The aim was to familiarize the parents, ‘’as partners in progress ‘’ with the curriculum, rules, and regulations, teaching methodologies and the scholastic activities of the school.
On day 1, the programme commenced with the class demonstration wherein children working on various work stations were shown. The school principal addressed the parents. The PowerPoint presentation was shown by the Head Mistress Ms. Bhawna Gaba. She introduced the parents with Pre Primary system.
A session on “Your child and You” was taken by Ms. Jyotsana Bharadwaj [A Renowned Psychologist & Parenting Expert]. She laid stress on effective communication between teachers and parents. She also gave guidelines about effective parenting. Later, the class teachers briefed about the rules and regulations of the school.
On day 2, kids were invited with their parents. A Magic Show was presented, the purpose was to entertain the children. The purpose was to make the children familiar with the school, teachers and boost their confidence.
On day 3, various fun-filled activities were organized for them. Major attractions of the day were Buggy Ride, Swings, Sand play and Water play.
Children enjoyed the activities and went back home in a joyful mood. Overall it was a fruitful meeting and the parents were in high spirit after attending the Orientation Programme.
