Theme: SDG-13 Climate Action

The morning assembly was conducted on the theme SDG 13: Climate Action to create awareness about  

  environmental conservation and the urgent need to protect our planet.

  The session began with an introduction to Earth Day, emphasizing its importance and the responsibility of every   

   individual towards the environment.

  Key points discussed:

  • Climate change refers to long-term changes in temperature and weather patterns caused mainly by human activities.
  • Rising temperatures, heatwaves, irregular rainfall, melting glaciers, and pollution are major effects of climate change.
  • Excessive use of plastic and cutting down trees are significant causes of environmental degradation.

  Preventive measures highlighted:

  • Save electricity and water
  • Reduce the use of plastic
  • Plant more trees
  • Maintain cleanliness in surroundings

  Students were engaged through an interactive session where they shared ideas on protecting the environment.

Topic: Pedal for Nature: Cycle for Change

Theme: SDG-13 Climate Action

 

“Tiny actions, when done with care, can create a world that’s fair.”

To promote awareness about environmental conservation and encourage sustainable living habits, a Cycle Rally – “Pedal for Nature: Cycle for Change” was conducted for students of classes I and II on Wednesday, 15th April 2026 within the school campus.

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 13 – Climate Action, the activity provided an opportunity for young learners to understand their role in protecting the environment through simple everyday actions.

Highlights of the Activity

  • Students actively participated in the rally, cycling with excitement and confidence along a carefully monitored route.
  • Bicycles were adorned with creative, student-made posters carrying impactful messages on saving the environment.
  • The enthusiasm of the children, combined with their expressive ideas, created a positive and energetic environment throughout the campus.
  • Facilitators ensured smooth conduct of the event, guiding students and maintaining safety at all times.

The activity was a wonderful blend of learning and enjoyment, helping children realise that their small efforts can contribute towards building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.

Topic: Life Below Water

Theme: SDG-14 Life Below Water

“Oceans give us life—let’s give them care.”

The students of Classes I and II enthusiastically participated in an engaging SDG activity based on Life Below Water (SDG-14). The activity aimed to build awareness about the importance of protecting oceans, rivers, and aquatic ecosystems while nurturing a sense of responsibility towards the environment.

Students showcased various aquatic plants and animals such as fish, turtles, octopus, and coral reefs, demonstrating both imagination and understanding.

Highlights of the Activity:

  • Enthusiastic participation from students of Classes I & II
  • Creative Underwater World Display using playdough models
  • Increased awareness about SDG-14: Life Below Water
  • Students suggested simple ways to protect marine life

Another key part was the Save Marine Life Talk, where teachers explained the harmful effects of pollution-especially plastic waste-on marine ecosystems. Students actively engaged in discussions and shared thoughtful ideas on how they can contribute to protecting water bodies, such as reducing plastic use and keeping surroundings clean.

 

The activity successfully combined creativity, awareness, and communication skills. It helped students understand the significance of aquatic life and inspired them to take small yet meaningful steps towards environmental conservation.

 

Overall, the session was interactive, informative, and impactful, fostering environmental consciousness and a sense of global responsibility among young learners.

The students of Classes III to V participated in a Poster Making Competition on SDG 14 – Life Below Water. The activity aimed to spread awareness about protecting oceans and marine life. Students expressed their ideas through creative drawings and meaningful slogans highlighting the importance of clean seas and conservation of aquatic ecosystems.

The objective behind the activity was to develop environmental awareness, creativity and a sense of responsibility towards nature among students. The participants showcased their artistic skills with great enthusiasm and originality.

As part of our ongoing efforts to create awareness about SDG-7 Affordable and clean energy, an engaging activity titled “Paper pinwheel with slogan” was conducted for students of Classes I and II.

The initiative focused to raise environmental awareness, enhancing creativity, and developing fine motor skills among the students. It also nurtured a sense of responsibility towards nature and encouraged children to think about sustainable practices from an early age.

Highlights of the activity-

  • Students creatively designed paper pinwheels symbolizing wind energy, reinforcing the concept of renewable and clean energy.
  • Age-appropriate SDG-7 slogans were thoughtfully written by the children, promoting environmental consciousness.

A brief description of the Activity:

Students of Classes VI to VIII participated enthusiastically in the sci- club activity, where they designed and built creative models of solar cooker/oven or a wind operated gadgets like wind mills. Using easily available materials like cardboard, black papers and aluminum sheets, students developed creative designs. The activity encouraged hands-on exploration, creativity, and innovation, making learning fun and experiential while understanding the sustainability goals.

Objectives of the Activity

  • To help students understand the concept of SDG 10 (Reducing Inequalities) through real-life examples.
  • To encourage appreciation for women achievers who have excelled despite social, economic, or gender-based barriers.
  • To enhance creativity and visual expression through designing book jackets.

Description of the Activity:

  • As part of the SDG 10 initiative—Reducing Inequalities—students participated in a Book Jacket Making activity focusing on inspiring women achievers.
  • Each child selected a renowned woman who has earned recognition through outstanding achievements in fields such as science, literature, sports etc.
    After researching their chosen personality, students designed a creative book jacket that included elements such as the title, author’s name and illustrations.

Learning Outcomes

  • Students developed an understanding of SDG 10 and recognised how women achievers overcame inequalities to succeed.
  • Students enhanced their creativity and presentation skills by designing an informative and visually appealing book jacket.
  • Students improved their research and summarisation skills by gathering key information and presenting it concisely.

A brief description of the Activity: 

The AEP Club organized a creative activity titled Comic Strip Making on the theme Gender Equality (SDG 5). Students enthusiastically designed comic strips highlighting the importance of equal opportunities and respect for all genders. The activity fostered awareness, creativity, and critical thinking while encouraging students to express social messages through art. It was a meaningful initiative that combined learning with innovation and student engagement.

A brief description of the Activity:   The Social Science Club organized an Advocacy Campaign on “Clean Water and Sanitation” for Classes VI–VIII. Students designed creative social media posters to spread awareness about water conservation, hygiene, and cleanliness. They later uploaded their posters using the hashtags #CleanWaterHealthyFuture and #SocialScienceClubBBPS, promoting the message of sustainability and responsible citizenship.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students understood the importance of clean water and sanitation and their role in promoting hygiene and sustainable living.
  2. Students developed skills of creative expression and digital advocacy to communicate social awareness messages effectively.

Topic: SDG-2 Zero Hunger

An assembly on SDG-2: Zero Hunger was conducted for the primary classes to raise awareness about the importance of food and the issue of world hunger. Two students of class-V conducted an interactive talk with the students. Through the interactive talk, quiz game, and slogan chanting, students learned simple ways to avoid food waste, share with others, and eat healthily. The assembly ended with a collective pledge: “We promise to work for Zero Hunger.”

Theme: SDG-2 Zero Hunger

As part of the school’s ongoing commitment to environmental awareness and sustainable practices, a special activity was conducted in August within the school campus under Sustainable Development Goal 2 – Zero Hunger. The initiative focused on nurturing empathy, valuing food, and understanding the need for collective efforts to eliminate hunger.

Highlights of the Activity

  • Pledge Against Food Waste: With great enthusiasm, children took a pledge to never waste food and to always share with those in need.
  • Slogan and Drawing Activity: Each child created a slogan and an illustration based on the theme “Zero Hunger,” expressing their understanding of the issue through words and art.
  • Corridor Parade: Students participated in a joyful parade through the school corridors, carrying their drawings and chanting powerful messages like “Don’t Waste Food” and “Share What You Can.”
  • Teacher Guidance: Teachers actively engaged and guided the students throughout the event, making sure the message of Zero Hunger was well understood and meaningfully conveyed.

The activity was a resounding success, inspiring our young learners to become mindful citizens. It sent a strong message: even the smallest actions, when begun early, can pave the way for a kinder, greener, and hunger-free world.

Details/ Plan of execution with time allotment-

  • A brief introduction will be given about the activity.
  • Students will prepare simple, healthy food items without using fire (e.g., sandwiches, salads, bhel, fruit bowls, etc.). 
  • They will then pack the food in clean and eco-friendly containers.
  • The prepared food will be respectfully handed over to the school housekeeping staff. 
  • The activity will conclude with students reflecting on their experience and sharing feedback in class.

Participating Class: Class IV

To nurture and understand the objective of SDG-3, the participants showcased any
one way to remain healthy and fit like adventure & exploration, dance, yoga &
stretching, sports etc. They also spoke about the chosen activity for not more than
2 minutes in English language only. Students dressed up appropriately and used
props like posters, head gears etc. to enhance their presentation.

The objective behind the activity was to enhance the presentation skills and public
speaking skills of the students. Thus, it was a great learning experience as well as
an enjoyable activity for all the students.

Theme: SDG 15 Activity Report (Life on Land)

As a part of our environmental awareness initiative aligned with SDG 15: Life on Land, students of Class 1 and 2 enthusiastically participated in a five-day activity to create a personalized photo album highlighting the importance of protecting our environment.

  • Day 1: Introduction
    Students were introduced to SDG 15 and the importance of trees, animals, and land conservation through stories and visuals.
  • Day 2: Photo Pasting
    Students began assembling their albums by pasting pictures related to nature, such as trees, animals, forests, and green spaces.
  • Day 3: Environmental Discussion
    A class discussion was held where students shared their thoughts about the environment and how they interact with nature.

    Day 4: Finding Solutions
    Students talked about simple ways to protect nature, such as planting trees and not littering. They also pasted their pictures while planting a sapling as a symbol of action.
  • Day 5: Design & Completion
    The final day was dedicated to decorating and completing the album. Students creatively designed covers and proudly displayed their work.

The activity fostered early awareness, creativity, and responsibility towards caring for our planet.

Topic: SDG-3 Good Health and well-being

 

ACTIVITY – Clay modeling - fruit or vegetable

  • Students made innovative dishes using nutritive ingredients ( cooking without fire).
  • They presented the dishes in a creative way and described the recipe and nutritive value of the dishes.

Learning outcomes –

  • Students learnt about the importance of balanced diet and staying away from junk food. 
  • They learnt about hygiene , culinary skills, such as following recipes and measuring ingredients. .
  • They also learnt that SDG-3 aims to promote healthy habits and healthy lifestyle.

Topic: Cycle Rally: Go Green
Theme: SDG-13 Climate Action

As part of the school’s commitment to promoting environmental awareness and
sustainable habits among young learners, a “Go Green” Cycle Rally was
organized for students of Classes I and II in the month of April within the
school campus.
The event was conducted under the theme of Climate Action (Sustainable
Development Goal 13) and aimed to instill the values of eco-conscious living
from an early age.
Highlights of the Activity
✓ Children participated enthusiastically, riding their bicycles along a
supervised route inside the school premises.
✓ Each child had a handmade poster attached to their bicycle, displaying
thoughtful and creative messages.
✓ The vibrant display of colourful posters and the excitement of the
young riders brought great energy to the campus.
✓ Teachers guided the students throughout the event, ensuring both
safety and engagement.
The “Go Green” Cycle Rally was a resounding success, leaving a strong
message: even the smallest actions, when taken early, can lead to a better,
greener future.

A brief description of the Activity: 

Students prepared posters/ digital advertisements to highlight the different sources of carbon emissions and the ways to reduce them. They presented their work using different musical instruments and discussed different ways to reduce carbon footprints and minimise their impact on ecosystems, weather patterns, and human health.

Some Highlights of the activities: 

  1. Students learnt about different ways to protect environment.
  2. Inspired them to take simple, actionable steps that can make a difference in reducing their environmental impact.
