ABOUT THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
- The Association was formally launched in 1999.
- More than a hundred members are currently actively associated with it.
- They communicate through a Face-Book page and a Whatsapp group.
- School events like the Winter Carnival and the Annual Day witness a re-union every year.
OBJECTIVES
- To provide a common platform for interaction with the alma-mater.
- To facilitate the desire in the alumnus to connect with their peers.
- To help the desire of the alumnus to lend support to their alma-mater.
- To act as judges during school functions.
- To lend support during annual events.
- To support the various clubs functioning in the alma-mater.
- To participate in the activities organised by the Association.

TOPIC : Opportunities Related to Business and Structured Finance

Selecting the right sources of funds and financial instruments for large projects is one of the most important tasks of modern business. The development of the financial market enables companies to use an ever wider range of financial instruments adapted to their capital needs, risks and the changing conditions of the competitive environment.
With this in view, the school organized an online workshop ‘Opportunities Related to Business and Structured Finance’, for students of classes IX-XII on 5th November 2022. The resource person for the workshop was, Mr. Naveen Kumar, who is currently working as Treasury professional with Olam India, handling their corporate and bank origination in Trade and structured finance for India geography. Structured finance has numerous advantages for fast-growing businesses in energy, infrastructure, heavy industry, agriculture, real estate and tourism, taking into account high flexibility and access to significant resources- all these points were discussed in detail with students.

Success is often defined as the ability to reach your goals in life, whatever those goals may be. Our definition of success may vary, but many might define it as being fulfilled, happy, safe, healthy, and loved. So what can you do to boost your chances of achieving these things? What are some of the habits of successful people?
There is no single right way to be successful. What works for you might not work for someone else. So there may not be a perfect combination of ingredients that can guarantee success.
With this in view, the school organised an online workshop ‘IS THERE TRULY A ROAD TO SUCCESS IN LIFE’, for students of classes IX-X on 5TH NOVEMBER’22. The resource person for the workshop was, DR STUTI RAJPUT , a gold medallist and honours degree holder from India's premier and prestigious government King George's Medical University, Lucknow (U.P). She has been practising since 2008 at reputed government organisations. During the workshop, she extensively discussed the Importance of dreaming and perseverance in success and a successful life. Students were also enlightened on the role of school, teachers and the education on their way to success. The session ended on a very important note of how parents are the invisible and the strongest pillars of support and strength in our successes and failures alike.

TOPIC : 5 Things I Wish I Knew in My Teens

Description of the workshop:
Teenage is the time when students face social pressure and make social habits. It's the time period of life long friendship and making good friends. Handling failure, pressure and emotions is important at this age.
With this view, the school organised an online workshop on '5 things I wish I knew in my teens' for students of classes IX-X on 8th October 22. The resource person for the workshop was, Mr. Amber, who is an alumni of 2002 and presently working as Senior Product Manager at Microsoft. He shared his personal experience to show how important it is to handle social pressure, failure and manage emotions. The presentation helped the students to grasp the important things which can help teens to overcome their problems. The personal experience helped in self- introspection and motivation in students. He gave examples of famous personalities like Thomas Edison when invented the bulb he said 'it's not 10K failures but learning which was learnt' with reference to handling failures. Students showed keen interest in the knowledge imparted by Mr. Amber participated in the workshop by asking for confusions and problems faced by them with zeal and enthusiasm.

The Alumni Association of the school organized an interactive session for Class XI students. The resource person was Mr. APOORVA RAJINDERA alumnus of our school. He is a Chemical Engineer from MIT, Manipal. Having passed out in the year 2006. His latest venture - TREKK Nutrition Pvt Ltd is an enterprise working with global and domestic giants like Decathlon, Indigo, FlyDubai, Lufthansa, Radisson, The Lalit, Marriott, Le Meridien, Fairmont, and Indian Army.
He addressed our students about the Basic principles of NEGOTIATION -A Key Life Skill. And the use of negotiation in day-to-day life.
Good question-answer sessions for students to understand more about life’s ups and downs in careers, and give them the confidence they can do anything.

Aditya Mehra an alumnus was called to guide and give practices to our theatre club children at our annual club event vibgyor.
He came for three days on 30/07/22, 05/08/22 & 06/08/22. in the school to help the children of the theatre club in developing the required physical skills and techniques eg movement, body language, posture, gesture, gait, coordination, stillness, timing, control; facial expression; eye contact, listening, expression of a mood; spatial awareness; interaction with other performers; dance and choral movement.

Aditya Mehra, an alumnus, was invited to guide the students of the Theatre Club for the play Ahilaya Bai.It was an interactive session in which the students learnt about the correct way to put up a drama on stage.
* Harshita Sethia, was invited to judge the Interhouse event 'Nukkad Natak' on Cleaniness Drive, for Classes VI, VII, & VIII.
*A session on 'Parent Child Communication' gap was conducted by parent alumnus, Ms M. Chatterji for Class IX. She also conducted a session on'Time Management' for students of Class VIII.
Good question-answer sessions for students and parents to understand more about life’s up and downs in careers, and give them the confidence they can do anything.

The Alumni Association of the school organized an interactive session for the students of Class XII. The resource person was Mr Kushagra Nigama alumni of our school. He is a scientific officer, presently working with the institute for plasma research, Gandhi Nagar.
He addressed our students about the future career prospects in India and the challenges faced by the students in pursuing their careers. The following points were discussed in today's session... 1. The process and journey of career selection. 2. Career awareness. 3. Not to focus on marks-oriented learning. 4. Career is a lifelong process and the journey of a career is more important than the destination. 5. To take care of physical and mental health. 7. To enter into the world of work as early as possible. 8. A career is a journey and not a final goal. 9. Career selection should be based upon your own experience and aptitude. 10. To try to see the bigger picture of life first.
