FAREWELL CEREMONY – 2023-24

                     

Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar bid a fond farewell to the outgoing batch of Class XII on Friday, 9th February 2024. The event commenced with the members of the student council welcoming the dignitaries. The Principal, Ms. Swapna Nair, addressed the Batch of 2024 and motivated them to put in their best efforts to succeed in the forthcoming examination. Students of Class XI and XII put up a mesmerizing cultural performance. The School Captains thanked the teachers for their constant support and guidance and reminisced about their eventful years in school.

The ’Talent Hunt’ and Ramp Walk saw the participants putting their best foot forward to win the coveted titles. Suvigya Bhatnagar was named Master Bal Bharati while Chinmayi Chawla won the title of Miss Bal Bharati.

The event concluded on a nostalgic note with the students of Class XI bidding adieu to their seniors.

 

 

Republic Day

 Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, commemorated the 75th Republic Day with profound patriotism and enthusiasm paying tribute to the nation's historic journey. The program commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the  Principal, Mrs. Swapna Nair. The resonating notes of the national anthem filled the air as students and staff stood in unison, paying homage to the Nation.

The colorful and lively presentation by the tiny tots of the Montessori Department offered a glimpse into various aspects of the Parade, including the Gallantry Awards, the March Past by the three military wings – the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, and the tableaux showcasing the diversity and richness of Indian culture. The young learners celebrated the essence of Unity in Diversity by showcasing state dances, forming flags, and depicting scenes from the country's history.

Students of the Primary Department marked the historic occasion by celebrating the Tri Colour through a plethora of activities showcasing the vibrant hues of our country in activities like Mandala art, paper quilling, pin wheel making, flower decoration.

 Students of the Middle Department celebrated the spirit of the day by crafting Tri-color wall hangings, decorations, and Tricolor paper quilling. The event's highlight was a mesmerizing Patriotic Dance Performance, bringing vibrancy to the entire celebration.

In a dynamic showcase, students from the Secondary and Senior Secondary Department curated captivating tableaux depicting the diverse states of India, including Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, and Goa. These presentations illuminated the rich history of each state, celebrating their vibrant festivals, delectable cuisines, and unique cultures. To foster awareness, a quiz on the Indian Constitution and Polity thoughtfully engaged the students. The event reached its pinnacle with an amalgamation of cultural performances by the students, captivating and enthralling the entire audience.

Various activities and events unfolded throughout the day, fostering a sense of unity and patriotism among the school community.

As the echoes of patriotism lingered in the air, the Republic Day celebration served as a poignant reminder of our shared commitment to unity, diversity, and the enduring spirit of the Indian Republic.

CHRISTMAS ASSEMBLY

DATE: 21st December 2023

 

Christmas is celebrated all over the world to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. To understand the significance of this event, a special assembly was organized by the Primary Department of the School.

Through the special assembly, students came to know about the importance and significance of Christmas. They participated enthusiastically during the assembly.

DIWALI ASSEMBLY

DATE: 6th November ,2023

CLASS:  I & II

"The true essence of Diwali lies in illuminating new, vibrant dreams, fresh hopes, and unexplored paths."

 The exhilaration and the festive spirit that Diwali brings are unparalleled. To enhance this festive fervour, the students of Classes I and II presented a special Diwali assembly on November 6, 2023.

The students of class I talked about the significance of the festival and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India followed by a mesmerizing dance performance on the song ‘Ram ji nikli sawari’.

The students of class II sensitized everyone about the ill-effects of burning crackers and pollution of the environment. They conveyed the message of celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali through a ‘Nukkad Natak’. The celebration concluded with an energetic dance performance on the song ‘Happy Diwali’.

The assembly successfully promoted the values and spirit of the festival.

 

DUSSEHRA ASSEMBLY

DATE: 26th October 2023

Participating Class: III-V

 A special assembly on the occasion of Dussehra was conducted on 26th October,2023. It showed the importance of Dussehra and kept the audience engrossed throughout the presentation.

The students dressed up as various mythological characters such as Rama, Sita, Ravana, Hanuman, Goddess Durga, Mahishasura etc. and creatively enacted the victory of good over evil through the unique ‘Mahishasura dance’ performance. The assembly culminated with a beautiful Nrityanatika depicting eminent scenes of “Ramayana”.

The event was a learning experience for all and enriched everyone about our rich Indian culture and values.

 

DUSSEHRA ASSEMBLY

DATE: 18th October 2023

 

CLASS:  I &  II

VENUE: School Quadrangle

 A special assembly on ‘Dussehra’ was organised for the students of Classes I & II on 18th October 2023. The students started with a thought that highlighted the spirit of the festival. Students of class I & II presented skits on scene of ‘Ashok Vatika’ and also showed us the act of ‘Durga and Mahishasur’ which reiterated the importance of festivals and celebration in our lives. It was an enriching assembly which reminded all of us that truth always wins and to always follow path of goodness.

CLEANLINESS DRIVE

WEDNESDAY, 11TH OCTOBER 2023  

 CLASSES: Pre School - Class II

Clean environment is essential for our health and well being. To Spread awareness amongst the students about the significance of cleanliness and its benefits a “cleanliness drive” was planned on Wednesday, 11th October 2023.

Highlights of the Event: 

  • All the students took a swachhta Pledge .
  • Students of Pre School and Pre Primary cleaned their classrooms and the surroundings areas.
  • Students of class I participated in poster making competition on the topic “cleanliness” and showcased their  creativity .
  • Students of class II wrote an essay on the topic “cleanliness is next to godliness” with colourful illustrations .

All the children enthusiastically participated in the drive with a promise to adopt cleanliness of self and their surroundings area.

 

SWACHHTA HI SEWA

 TUESDAY 3RDOCTOBER, 2023

ACTIVITY- CLEANLINESS DRIVE   

CLASS- III 

In order to spread awareness on cleanliness, the ‘Cleanliness Drive’ was organized in which students of class III were asked to wear white caps, gloves and to bring a duster. They were told the importance of cleanliness and they were asked to help their teachers in cleaning their own desks, chairs, class and corridors. Students enjoyed the cleanliness drive. 

 

ACTIVITY- SWACHHTA PLEDGE & AWARENESS DRIVE

CLASSES- IV AND V

In order to spread awareness on cleanliness, the ‘Swachhta Pledge’ was taken by the students of class IV and V. Students spoke some lines about cleanliness and made placards with catchy slogans. The students went around the school in groups with the message of maintaining cleanliness and the importance of cleanliness. Students learnt lot of things about their environmental hygiene with the help of this enjoyable activity. Students understood the importance of a clean environment and  took the pledge to keep a clean and healthy environment around them. They made a promise to follow the same with utmost sincerity.

Teachers’ Day Assembly-2023

A special assembly on the occasion of Teacher's Day was conducted on 4th September, 2023. The day was celebrated with pomp and grandeur. Teacher's day is celebrated as a tribute to the valuable contribution made by teachers to the society by imparting knowledge and enlightening and shaping the career of students. The programme began with Guru Vandana. Students of class IV and V also presented a dance and a skit. 

The assembly concluded with the Head Ma’am talking about the significance of Teacher's day. 

The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

 

 

TEACHERS' DAY ASSEMBLY

CLASS:  I & II

To commemorate Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's birth anniversary and pay tribute to the teachers, a special assembly on ‘Teacher’s Day’ was organized for the students of Classes I & II on 4th September 2023.

The assembly began with the marvellous performances by the students wherein the students of class I presented a wonderful dance performance followed by student talk, expressing their gratitude and appreciation for their favourite teachers. Class II students recited a melodious poem and a song followed by a dance performance. The beautiful performances by the little ones enthralled the audience and mesmerized the teachers.

TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION 2023

 

 

Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar transformed into a vibrant tapestry of colors, laughter, and appreciation on 5th September 2023. It was a day to express heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the dedicated educators who tirelessly guided the students on their educational journey. The celebration acknowledged the profound impact teachers have on the lives of the children and honored their unwavering commitment to their growth and development.

To commemorate this day, a special assembly was organized in the MP Hall of the school, wherein the students from classes IX-XII came forward to show their high regard and indebtedness towards the teachers who have been the torchbearers since their initial years. The program was commenced by the prayer and remembering the lord, followed by the cultural program of dance and music which was exquisitely presented by the students. They expressed their love and gratitude towards their educator in the form of self-composed poems that echoed the tone of positivity and appreciation.

A Vote of Thanks was presented by the School Captains which reminded everyone of the pivotal role educators play in shaping the lives of the students and instilling in them the love for learning. Ms. Swapna Nair, the school Principal addressed the audience, congratulating the teachers and acknowledging the sincere efforts they put in every day to mould the children towards a better future. The celebration concluded with the melodious rendition of the National Anthem.

Teachers not only impart academic knowledge but also instill values, ethics, and moral principles in students, shaping them into responsible citizens. Teachers' Day serves as a reminder of the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the future of our society. The celebration was a day of profound significance and heartfelt celebration, a day to recognize the invaluable contribution of the teachers and express gratitude for their unwavering support and guidance.

JANMASHTAMI ASSEMBLY-2023

 A special assembly on ‘Janmashtami’ was organised for the students of Classes I & II on 1st September,2023. A colourful plethora of events succeeded Krishna’s birthday celebration. Students of class I presented an energetic dance performance and won the hearts of one and all present. Class II students depicted the stills from the life of Lord Krishna beautifully, spreading the message of peace and harmony in all beings.

JANMASHTAMI ASSEMBLY-2023

A special assembly on the occasion of Janmashtami was conducted on 1st September 2023. Janmashtami festival was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm.

The children celebrated the occasion by singing and dancing with great joy. Children came dressed in as Krishna, Radha, Gwalas and Gopis. The students of class III presented skits depicting events from Krishna’s life like ‘Janam Lila’, ‘Makhan Chor Lila’, ‘Goverdhan Parwat Lila’, ‘Kans Vadh’ and ‘Maharaas’ etc. The students also showcased the spirit of Janmashtami through insightful and mesmerizing dance performances.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2023

 

 

 

Patriotic fervour reverberated in Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, on the occasion of  the 77th year of India’s Independence. The Day was celebrated with immense patriotism and enthusiasm, where the school campus came alive with events and activities that honored the nation's historic journey.

The day commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony at the school. The national flag, adorned with the colors of saffron, white, and green, was hoisted by the school Principal, Mr. Arvind Bhatia to the rendition of the national anthem, "Jana Gana Mana," followed by the ‘Panch Pran Pledge’, where students took the vows to ensure personal growth and national development.

The cultural extravaganza exhibited by the students of Pre- Primary to Senior Department, was a testament to the students' creative expressions and their understanding of India's rich heritage. The Tiny-Tots of the Montessori Department demonstrated their dexterity through the ‘Art and Craft Activity’. Headgear Making, Card Making, Mask Decoration, Wall Hanging, Plate Decoration, T-shirt Painting, and Creating Tricolour DIY- Lantern, Butterfly, Wristbands, Peacocks, Kite, etc, by The Pre-Primary and Primary Department were the highlights of the Independence Day Celebration.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the celebration was the meticulously choreographed formations presented by the students of Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary Department. These formations were a breathtaking display of precision and unity, with students coming together to depict various patriotic symbols and messages, like ‘G20’, ‘Bharat’, and our National flag, to creating inspiring messages of unity and freedom. These formations left the audience awe-struck by the sheer dedication and coordination of the students. The spirit of India was showcased by the students of the Secondary and Senior Secondary Departments, who made beautiful Tricolour Wind chimes, Bandhawar, and Headgear. Students showcased their talents through patriotic songs, folk dances, and skits that portrayed key moments from India's struggle for independence.

Amidst the patriotic fervor, a strong message of environmental responsibility- Vriksharopan, was interwoven into the celebration. The school took a significant step towards sustainability by organizing a sapling plantation drive. Students of Class IX-XII participated enthusiastically in this initiative, where they planted saplings on the school campus. The students were also shown the live telecast of ‘Chief Minister’s Address’ where he spoke to the entire nation, expressing his gratitude towards the martyrs, and asking the youth to stand against evil, terrorism, corruption, and disrespect of our country. He asked them to be responsible and always work for the pride of the nation. 

The echoes of patriotic songs and the resounding spirit of "Vande Mataram" served as a reminder of the sacrifices that paved the way for India's independence and the ongoing responsibility each citizen holds to honor and uplift the nation. Students participated in the event with full enthusiasm and dedication and seemed to be completely immersed in their activities. It was a day of reaffirming the students' connection to their nation's history and their commitment to upholding the ideals of freedom, unity, and progress.

 

INDEPENDENCE DAY ASSEMBLY

The students of classes III-V participated in various events organized to celebrate the 77th Independence Day. These activities were organized to celebrate the spirit of freedom and unity with our young enthusiasts. The students participated in various activities like tableaus, dance performance and several craft activities.

Class IV The students of class IV took us back in history and showcased some of the most historic movements in Indian struggle for freedom through tableaus. Moments like Simon commission, Quit India Movement, The Rise of Bhagat Singh etc were depicted beautifully through power-pact presentations.
Class VThe students gave energetic performances on different patriotic songs to celebrate the spirit of Independence. Their bright and vibrant costumes added to the beauty of their dances.

 

VIBGYOR
5th August 2023

Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar organised VIBGYOR, an annual cultural bonanza depicting the spectacular exhibits of all the clubs in the school campus on 05th August 2023 amidst great splendor, zeal and resplendence. The event commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony by the Principal , Mr. Arvind Bhatia and other dignitaries to invoke the blessing of the almighty.The entire school campus was adorned with festive hues to mark the occasion.
Students from all the clubs presented live demonstrations on a myriad of topics.The highlights of the event included a play on ‘Incredible India, performed by the Theatre Club, beautiful enactment of popular stories by renowned short story writers , Oscar Wilde and O. Henry were featured by the Literary and Creative Skills Club, and models and live representations based
on the theme ‘In Harmony with Nature Targeting Sustainable Development were displayed by the Nature and Heritage Club. The unique idea from Interact Club was to sell handmade goods prepared by the students with the proceeds going to the relevant NGOs as a part of the school’s social initiative.A Nukkad Natak on the theme ‘Glimpse into the world of Teenager’
was excellently showcased by the AEP Club.
Taking technological advancements to the next level, our school Tinkering Club presented a thought provoking Nukkad Natak on IPR and project creations of prototypes.. The robots that
our young talent powerhouses constructed were displayed by the Robotronics Club.Likewise, the Astronomy Club placed on display a telescope for the visitors for the observation of the sun and
the planets.The Health and Wellness Club emphasised on the importance of physical fitness through a terrific performance of Yoga and Zumba by our budding fitness enthusiasts. COMM-
E-CON Club displayed the acting prowess of its students by presenting a Nukkad Natak on Sustainable Development. The Sports Club displayed an extravagant display on traditional
games of India.
The Montessori Department exquisitely showcased the Dances of India , Toys of India and the heavenly state of India, Kashmir through a mesmerising display and dazzling dance
performances by our little dancers.Parents lauded their children's artwork and supported and encouraged them during their performances . The highlight of this spectacle included splendid art
and craft work display - KIRTI, soulful musical performances by the school choir, and scintillating dance performances - ABHIVYAKTI.
The guests applauded the efforts put in by our budding artists.This event provided a learning opportunity and a way to recognize the hard work and ability of our young folks throughout the
year. The dignitaries lauded the commendable exhibits presented by various clubs.The event provided a platform to our budding artists to showcase their latent talents .
The sparkling event culminated amidst the applause by the visitors.

 

 

 PLANTATION DRIVE

 TUESDAY & 25th JULY

CLASSES: III-V

Students of the primary department participated with great zeal and enthusiasm on the occasion plantation drive.

The students planted various saplings including Ashoka, Neem, Belpatra,  and Kachnaar. The students participated in the drive enthusiastically and helped each other in planting the saplings. All the saplings were planted by students in the vicinity of their homes and school. The students also took an oath to look after the planted saplings, plant more trees and encourage others to do the same. Some of the students also shared their experiences and shared their joy with others.

Such little steps taken together by the school and students will surely help in fostering strong mental and social health amongst today’s children, so that they connect with their peers,  elders,  community and  environment.

On Thursday, 20th July, 2023, the  Primary Department conducted  the Investiture Ceremony to recognize the talent & leadership skills of the young minds and our future leaders.

Prefects along with the Head Girl, Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy ,Sports  Captain and the Sports Vice Captain took the oath to perform their duties with sincerity and utmost dedication. The ceremonial pinning of the badges to the students was done by the honourable Principal Mr. Arvind Bhatia and the Vice- Principal- Ms. Mona Chawla.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2023

17th JULY, 2023

 

 

 

Investiture Ceremony 2023 , of the Middle and Senior Department was held on Monday, 17th July 2023.The programme commenced with the prayer and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp . Guru Mahima, a classical dance performance mesmerized the audience. 

 

Atul Gupta and Navya Garg  were sworn in as the Head Boy and Head Girl of the Middle Department. Aadi Gupta and Avika Jindal took the oath of Deputy Head Boy and Girl respectively while Arsh Gupta and Sanskriti Singh were sworn in as Sports Captain in the Middle Department. 

 

Suvigya Bhatnagar and Chinmayi Chawla were sworn in as School Captains. Palak Bisht and Swastik Kapoor took the oath of Vice School Captain while Dev Vasudev was sworn in as Sports Captain of the school. 

 

The Principal, Mr Arvind Bhatia, conferred badges to School Council members comprising of House Captains and Club Presidents. He urged the elected council to uphold the spirit of the pledge undertaken by them. The programme concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem. 

 

 

DOCTOR’S DAY (1ST JULY, 2023)

Doctors are lifesavers who tirelessly work for the mankind. As a token of gratitude, students visited the doctors residing near their homes and presented hand written notes/ bouquet/ handmade cards to them.

  • The objective of the activity was to make the children aware about the importance of doctors in our lives and show their gratitude towards them.
  • Students participated enthusiastically.

 

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2023

Name of the Activity: Plant a Sapling

Participating Class: Class III

The students planted a sapling during the online celebration of ‘World Environment Day’ under the guidance of teachers .They told the name of sapling and explained the benefits of planting it.

Students planted saplings of aloe vera, neem, peepal ,tulsi, snake plant etc. They learnt the importance of growing plants and keeping the environment clean and safe from pollution. The students were motivated to plant more trees to purify the air and make the earth green.

Name of the Activity: Bird Feeder Making

Participating Class: Class IV

Students of class IV prepared a bird feeder using waste material such as 2 litres plastic bottles, well -cleaned detergent bottles, milk cartons, egg trays etc.

Through this activity, the students learnt about the benefits of bird feeders as well as understood how they provide a safe environment for birds. Each student spoke about the material used for making the bird feeder as well as how it is a necessity to protect birds from the extreme heat.

Name of the Activity: Compost Bin Making

Participating Class: Class V

Students of class V prepared a compost bin. They took a basket/ bucket and covered its  bottom with a newspaper. Then they added the biodegradable material including soil, fallen leaves, peels of fruits and vegetables, leftover fruits etc. Finally, they put a layer of soil on top of the compost to cover it.

The objective of the activity was to make the children aware about the advantages of composting and making organic manure. They learnt about the advantages of organic manure over chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

All the students took a pledge to conserve the environment by practicing car pooling, afforestation and using natural material instead of synthetic and non-biodegradable material.

 

 

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATIONS - 2023

 

 

 

International Yoga Day is observed every year on June 21 to raise awareness about this ancient practice and to celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. Today, on 21st June, 2023 Bal Bharati Public School celebrated International Yoga Day with full zeal and fervour.

 

An online yoga session was organised for the students of classes I & II to promote their physical and mental well- being. The session aimed to introduce and engage participants in various yoga practices and highlight the importance of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

 

Likewise the students of classes III,IV & V enthusiastically participated in online activities focused on sitting yoga postures, standing yoga postures and rhythmic yoga with parents.

 

Students from classes VI ,VII,VIII & IX took part in a wide range of activities planned to commemorate the International Day of Yoga. Slogan writing and Bookmark making  were the activities for class VI students. Students enthusiastically engaged in the event and created slogans and bookmarks that were both incredibly educational and meaningful.

All the students of Class VII enthusiastically engaged in a session on yoga, its advantages, and how it may help them to manage their stress. For the class VIII students , a painting activity was organised.Students participated  enthusiastically in the activity and made beautiful Yoga postures. All the students showcased their paintings during the activity.

 

Students of class IX were given a lecture cum demonstration on the occasion of International Yoga Day on how yoga is essential for our everyday life & how it can improve the busy lifestyle we are presently following.

The online activities  were thoroughly enjoyed by all the students. The celebration of International Yoga Day not only fostered physical fitness but also instilled a sense of discipline, mindfulness, and unity among the students and their families.

Also, an offline yoga session was organised for the teachers, office staff and support staff in the school campus. Tadasana, Trikonasana, Shravasana and Surya Namaskar, to name a few,were the asanas performed on the occasion.

EXPRESSIONS 2023

 

A festival of Inter-School competitions , Expressions  2023 was organised in Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar  on 27 and 28 April, 2023. The event included a plethora of activities ranging from Literature, Art and Craft, Technology, Drama, Sports and Social causes. The students got an opportunity to showcase their creative skills in myriad ways .Over 1045 participants  from all over Delhi and NCR participated in the event.

 

The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp  by the Principal, Mr. Arvind Bhatia and other dignitaries. The competition was an amalgamation of talent, creativity and imagination thus providing the students with a platform to exhibit their latent talents.The competition included 29 varied events like Folk Galore, RJ Hunt, Ad Mad, Nrityam, Food Fiesta, Artsy Canvas, Abhivyakti, All About Fayol, A Battle of Wits, Bhashan Pratiyogita, Le Sketch, Impression, Matharticulate, The Toy Story and Yoga Nritya Fusion to name a few. Students from Pre-Primary to Class XII participated in the event.

An esteemed panel of 58  judges, who were experts in their  fields,judged the participants on the basis of originality, aesthetics , creativity and overall presentation.

Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura, Delhi was declared the Overall winner and Bal Bharati Public School, Noida bagged the Runners-up trophy. The host school did not compete in any of the events.

The event concluded with the felicitation of all the award winners and participants.

The new academic session commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp along with the rendition of the Ganesh Vandana. The symphony of instrumental music with the melodious song truly motivated the students. 
The students of the Primary Department danced to the tunes of Saraswati Vandana and invoked her blessings. Students of the Middle and Secondary Department performed a spell binding folk dance. 
The Principal, Mr Arvind Bhatia congratulated the students for their academic achievement and urged them to focus on health and fitness in order to do well in academic and co- curricular activities for their holistic development.The program concluded  with the rendition of the National Anthem.

 

FAREWELL (CLASS-XII)

Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar hosted a farewell ceremony for the students of the Class XII batch of 2022-23 on 4th February. The school organised the event in unison, to bid a lively and joyful farewell to their seniors. The ceremony commenced with the welcome of Class XII students followed by school prayer. Further, class XIth students felicitated all the dignitaries. Our principal, Mr. Arvind Bhatia, who has always generously imparted his wisdom to his pupils, addressed the students and guided them towards the right path. He urged them to look upon this event as a celebration of their years at their Alma Mater and gave them helpful advice on how to juggle between the expectation of their family and society with their own aspirations. He concluded by wishing them happiness and success in all future endeavours and inspired them to leave an indelible mark on society and make the school proud.

The school captain and vice captain gave an encouraging and nostalgic speech to the students. A mesmerising choir performance by Class XI students was staged followed by a  graceful and a scintillating dance performance on a plethora of songs.

A student of Class XII sang a beautiful solo song highlighting the years of camaraderie shared by thefellow batchmates. A rich and melodious dance performance accompanied by nostalgic images of the merry times experienced by the seniors at school was also presented by class XIIth students.

The teachers bid their beloved students a warm goodbye and wished them the best of luck for their future. They expressed their joy at having spent a wonderful time with all the students and how they will always hold a special place in their hearts.

The ceremony concluded with a message by the Class XIth students, who articulated their sorrow at seeing their seniors leave, and hoped that their paths would cross again in the near future. The glorious example set by them as student leaders would continue to live on in the hearts of their juniors.

All the students of Class XIth and XIIth proceeded for a lunch organised in the school.

 

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS 

26th JANUARY, 2023

 

 

 

The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and grandeur at Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar. The students and teachers took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and patriotism.

Students of the Montessori Department presented the Republic Day Parade with presentation of the Gallantry Awards. March Past by Army, Navy and Air Force, display of Tanks, daredevil Skaters, Drill with Tricolour props, Tableaux of various states and social message like Right to Education were the attraction of the parade along with Flypast and National Anthem.

The young students of the Primary Department honoured the spirit of Unity in Diversity through presentation of state dances, flag formations and depiction of scenes from the history of the country.

Students of Classes VI to VIII performed a talk show “Mann Ki Baat” on the topic – Fit India, Make in India, Women Empowerment and Swach Bharat. Patriotic songs and dances truly celebrated the spirit of the Republic.

Students of Secondary and Senior Secondary Department presented tableau on the States of India viz. Punjab, Kerela, West Bengal and Gujrat highlighting the history of the state and celebrating its festivals, food and culture. A quiz on the Indian Constitution and Polity helped create awareness amongst the students. An amalgamation of cultural performances by the students enthralled one and all.

The programme concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.

PARTICIPATING CLASSES: I-V

The students of classes I-V participated in various activities to celebrate the Republic Day of our country. To honour the spirit of Unity in Diversity, the students presented various state dances, craft activities, formations, still presentations etc. The students enjoyed the celebrations and participated enthusiastically in all the activities.

A brief account of the activities celebrated class-wise has been given below.

Students made tri-coloured head gears to celebrate the spirit of unity. They used materials like pastel sheets, water colours, crayons etc to make the head gears.

IIScene Depiction from History

Students were dressed up freedom fighters and depicted some of the most famous movements from freedom struggle as stills.

III & IVFormation of Flag

Students wore tri-coloured clothes and formed the tiranga. They also moved their hands in form of waves, depicting the urge for freedom and independence.

VState-wise Dances

Students presented a regional dance of the state allotted to celebrate the fervour of independence. The states given to the respective sections are as follows-

VB- Jammu and Kashmir

VC- Goa

VD- Nagaland

VE- Uttarakhand

 

 

 

ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY 2021-22

 

 

Annual Prize Distribution for the session 2021-22 was held in Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, on Saturday, 21st January 2023.The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by Ganesh Vandana. 

The musical extravaganza ' Caravan' , an amalgamation of Indian and Arabic music mesmerized the audience. ' Guru Mahima' a fusion of classical and contemporary dance forms ,celebrated the relationship of the students with the guru. 

Meritorious students in academics, co- curricular activities and sports were felicitated on the occasion. The Principal, Mr Arvind Bhatia, appreciated the diligence and hard work of the students and motivated them to strive for excellence. The programme concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem

CHRISTMAS ASSEMBLY

DAY AND DATE: Friday, 23rd December, 2022

PARTICIPATING: CLASSES: I, II and III

The students of classes I-III participated in various activities to celebrate the Christmas festival. The students participated in an array of activities like, Christmas tree making, Carol singing, Dance and Christmas play. The students enjoyed the celebrations and participated enthusiastically in all the activities.

CLASS ACTIVITIES
 IThe students sang the Christmas carols and paired them with melodious background music. They also made a Christmas tree using paper plate, other decorative material and celebrated the fervour of the festival.
IIThe children performed a mesmerizing dance on Christmas and Happy New Year song. 
IIIThe students performed a play on Christmas.

VENUE- CLASSROOMS AND PLAYGROUND

 

Children's day in India is celebrated on November 14 every year to commemorate the birthday of first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He was known for his fondness towards children and commitment towards their education. 'The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country,' Nehru had once said. Here is how, Bal Bharati Public school, Brij Vihar, celebrated this day on 14th November’22 in the school premises for the students of IX-XII.

 The day focus on children and their enjoyment through plethora of fun filled activities as follows:

IX- Best out of waste- Bottle painting/craft, paper lantern craft, newspaper tea coasters, photo frame etc. and food without fire.

X- Tattoo making, hand painting, doodle art and meme making

XI & XII- Various games like tug of war, hurdle race & over head relay.

 

Students took active part in the celebration. They were overwhelmed and enjoyed the day.

DAY & DATE : MONDAY & 14TH NOVEMBER, 2022

PARTICIPATING CLASSES : VI-VIII

Children's Day is observed on November 14. On this day awareness is created about the rights, welfare and education of children. This day is also the birthday of the first Prime Minister of Independent India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. This day is celebrated in various ways in various educational institutions across the country. Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar also celebrated Children’s Day, with zeal and enthusiasm, by organising a programme INDRADHANUSH this year.

The event took place in the MP Hall of the school. The venue was decorated with several display boards which were prepared by the students themselves. The students from class VI to VIII participated in the programme. The formal programme started at 7.45 am with prayer song and welcome speech by the anchors and then it followed a series of events which included cultural presentation, sports performance etc. The dance presentation by the students of the school was really amazing and it revealed their inner talent. The melodious song sung by the children wove the threads of the event more closely. The Yoga performance and display of rope skipping, once again by the students of the school itself, deserved a special accolade. The programme ended at 10.15 am with vote of thanks.

Another plethora of activities held in classes where students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed a lot.It was a fun filled day. There was excitement in the air and the students left the school with a bag full of stories about their special day at school.

DIWALI ASSEMBLY

 

DAY AND DATE: Friday, 21st October, 2022

PARTICIPATING CLASS: IV and V

 

A special assembly on the occasion of Diwali was conducted on 21st October, 2022. The festival of lights that enlightens the heart and brings joy was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm.

The programme began with Saraswati Vandana and a speech related to the theme. Students of classes IV and V spread the message to celebrate “GREEN DIWALI “through Nukkad Natak.Later the students showcased the spirit of Diwali through an insightful and mesmerising dance performance.

The assembly concluded with the Headmistress giving away the message of clean, peaceful and bright Diwali.

The event was a learning experience for all and enriched everyone about our rich Indian culture and values.

 

DUSSEHRA ASSEMBLY

 

DAY AND DATE: Friday, 30th September, 2022

PARTICIPATING CLASS: I-V

A special assembly on the occasion of Dussehra was conducted on 30th September,2022. It showed the importance of Dussehra and kept the audience engrossed throughout the presentation.

The students dressed up as various mythological characters such as Rama, Sita, Ravana, Hanuman, Goddess Durga, Mahishasura etc and creatively enacted the victory of good over evil through dance, theatre and drama. The assembly culminated with a beautiful folk dance on “Shubharambh”.

The event was a learning experience for all and enriched everyone about our rich Indian culture and values.

 

 

 ADOPT A TREE

Participating Classes:   Classes IV and V

 

Description of The Activity: Nature Club organized a plantation drive “Adopt a Tree” for the students of classes IV and V. In this activity, each student brought a sapling to the school, nurtured it for a week . After a week, students took it back and planted it in a garden near their home.

Learning Outcome:

This activity involved and sensitized our younger generation towards the importance of tree plantation for greener and healthier Earth.

The activity was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

 

 

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS 

15th AUGUST 2022

Patriotic fervour reverberated in Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, on the occasion of 75 years of India’s Independence, under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, on 15th August, 2022. The program began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Principal and the rendition of the National Anthem. In his speech, on the occasion of Independence Day, Mr. Arvind Bhatia reiterated the true meaning of Independence to help the young minds foster the spirit of the Tiranga in their hearts.

The Students and Teachers enthusiastically participated in a plethora of activities. The campus was festooned with strings of miniature tri-color flags, banners, pins, and scarves, acknowledging the achievements, development, and strength of our country. The participants tapped their feet on the musical beats of Bharat Anokha Raag Hai, followed by the dance performances, highlighting the theme of Unity in Diversity.

The Tiny-Tots of the Montessori Department demonstrated their dexterity by ‘Art and Craft Activity’. Kite decoration, Fancy Dress with Slogans, T-shirt Painting, Tricolour Bunting, Dream Catcher, Badges, and Prabhat-Feri with flags and banners by The Pre-Primary and Primary Department were the highlights of the Independence Day Celebration.

A Talk- Show, highlighting the power of ‘New- Bharat’ or youth was organized by the Middle Department. They also expressed their passions and emotions by organizing various Cultural Programmes- Unnati Ke Path Par, which included DIY Paper National Symbols, Paper Quilling, Origami, Pot Decoration, DIY Toys, and Tri-color Mandala Art. The dynamic Songs and Poems recited by the enthusiastic students filled the hearts of the audience with the feeling of nationalism.

The spirit of India was showcased by the students in activities like Amalgamation of Colours and Tri-color on the Platter. Children also made beautiful Tricolour Wind chimes and Wall Hangings. Students of the Secondary and Senior Secondary Department exhibited their talents through a Talent Hunt Contest or ‘Star Quest’. A show of famous art forms of different states, traditions, and cultures, and scenes of the freedom struggle illustrated through drama pictures were some of the major aspects of the Independence Day celebration.

Students participated in the event with full enthusiasm and dedication and seemed to be completely immersed in their activities. It was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and carry forward the legacy of our great freedom fighters.

VIBGYOR , a cultural fiesta showcasing the exhibits of all the clubs of the school was organized on 06th August 2022 in Bal Bharati, Brij Vihar. Students presented live demonstrations on a range of subjects. A Nukkad Natak on women empowerment was performed by the Theatre Club, poems by poets from the Harlem Renaissance were featured by the Literary and Creative Skills Club, and live working models of rainwater harvesting and water conservation were displayed by the Nature and Heritage Club. The amazing idea from Interact Club was to sell handmade goods with the proceeds going to the relevant NGOs. Teen Consumer Club gave mind boggling presentations on the topics of the hour - Digital India, Smart Consumerism, Cyber Security and E-waste Management.

It is past time that we began to consider how to safeguard our planet for everyone and everywhere. Taking technological advancements to the next level, our school's Tinkering Club presented real-world examples of sustainable development objectives and their significance in the current situation. The robots that our young talent powerhouses constructed were displayed by the Robotronics Club. Healthy munchies were produced by the Health and Wellness Club and entertaning games were played involving the visitors. AEP Club displayed the acting abilities of its students by presenting a Nukkad Natak.

Bringing in a blend of International Goals and Mythological Tales, Montessori Department’s theme was Sustainable Development Goals and they distributed saplings to encourage everyone to grow more trees. The students also performed the glorious Ganga Aarti Ceremony which is held every evening at Dashashwamedh Ghat. They dedicated their venue to one of the oldest cities ‘Varanasi’ , a city of Mahadeva.

Parents admired their children's artwork and supported and encouraged them during their performances at the school's yearly show. The highlight of this spectacle included aerobic performances, art and craft work - KIRTI, musical performances, and dance performances - ABHIVYAKTI. The visitors appreciated what our burgeoning talent houses had accomplished. This exhibit served as both a learning opportunity and a way to recognize the hard work and ability of our young folks throughout the year. All of our kids' arduous work was recognised and praised by all the dignitaries.
