     SOCIAL INITIATIVE- ORPHANAGE HOME VISIT

           INTERACT CLUB

DAY & DATE: SATURDAY, 19 OCTOBER 2024

CLASS/CLASSES :  20 CHILDREN OF CLASSES  VI - VIII

20 Children and 2 teachers of Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar went to Mother Teresa Orphanage, Civil line Delhi for celebrating Diwali. All students interacted with the children of Mother Teresa Home, and decorated their home and sang songs, danced and played with the Orphanage children. The students expressed their heartfelt feelings by distributing refreshment boxes to them .It was a wonderful experience for all.

  • Students were able to develop empathy and feelings for less fortunate.
  • Students learnt to show their talent and creativity.

Students became aware of their social responsibility and their duties towards the community.

 

DRY RATION COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION

DAY &DATE:  9 SEPTEMBER -21 SEPTEMBER 2024

CLASS/CLASSES :  PRE PRIMARY 1-CLASS XII

.

In response to the pressing challenges faced by many families in our country due to flood conditions , dry Ration- pulses, rice and spices were collected from students from pre primary 1 to class XII. The ration collected was distributed in the Apna Ghar Ashram-Noida .The parents responded to Collection Drive initiative very enthusiastically and our School collected approximately 400 kg of ration and spices.

RADIO SHOW

On Friday, May 31, 2024, the eager young learners of Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, embarked on a meaningful excursion to Salaam Namaste Community Radio. Nestled at A 8 B, Block C, IMS College, Noida Sec 62, the radio station became the vibrant venue for their participation in the 'No-Tobacco Campaign'. Accompanied by the esteemed Mr. Hitesh Tiwari, School Vice-Principal, and the dedicated Ms. Sangeeta Chauhan, Sports Teacher, the students engaged in an enlightening program.

Following the radio show, students participated in a poster-making competition and a slogan-writing contest. They created impactful posters and catchy slogans like "Kick the Habit, Kill the Addiction" and "Choose Health, Not Tobacco." These activities helped reinforce the anti-tobacco message creatively and engagingly.

Mr. Hitesh Tiwari delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the significance of making informed choices and the long-term benefits of rejecting tobacco use. This collective pledge was a powerful testament to the students' dedication to leading healthier lives and advocating for a tobacco-free environment. The event concluded with an oath-taking ceremony where students pledged to live tobacco-free and encourage others to do the same. This pledge highlighted their commitment to promoting health and well-being in the community.

Overall, the "No-Tobacco Campaign" was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on the students and the school community. The combination of educational discussions, creative expression, and a commitment to action ensured that the message of the dangers of tobacco use was effectively conveyed and embraced by all participants.

GIFT OF HOPE

 

Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar hosted underprivileged children from ‘Kaasha Vidyashilp Learning Centre’ on 4th May, 2024, under the ‘Gift of Hope Programme’. The programme aimed to bring joy and happiness to children facing socio-economic challenges.

The event commenced with a warm and enthusiastic welcome, creating an atmosphere brimming with joy and anticipation. An array of engaging activities, including a Storytelling session, a Craft workshop and a talk on ‘Health and Hygiene’ by members of the Interact Club captivated the children. Students from Classes VI to XII generously donated stationery material, nurturing happiness and inspiring dreams for a better tomorrow.

Beyond material gifts, the event offered invaluable moments of connection and empowerment. The Vice-Principal, Mr. Hitesh Tiwari expressed his heartfelt appreciation for everyone's contributions, emphasizing the importance of compassion and solidarity in creating a brighter future for all.

The "Gift of Hope" programme underscored the profound impact of kindness and solidarity, leaving a lasting impression on the children and the school community.

HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP

 

Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar organized a Health Check-Up Camp on May 4, 2024, in collaboration with Max Hospital, Patparganj. It aimed at promoting the well-being of both parents and staff members. The event took place as an opportunity for participants to undergo various health screenings and consultations.

The Health Check-Up Camp served as a platform for raising awareness about preventive healthcare practices and disease prevention strategies. The Health Check-Up Camp offered a wide range of health screenings and assessments tailored to address the diverse needs of participants. Parents and staff members had the opportunity to undergo thorough medical examinations, including vital signs monitoring, blood pressure, bone density, diabetes, eye check- ups, etc. By promoting health literacy and encouraging preventive measures, the camp aimed to empower parents and staff members to prioritize their health and lead healthier lives.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing gratitude for the opportunity to prioritize their health and access valuable healthcare services within the school premises. The endeavour created a culture of health consciousness and proactive healthcare engagement, ultimately contributing to the overall well-being and vitality of its community.

DONATION OF BOOKS TO NGO "LOVE CARE FOUNDATION”

 

On 23rd April, 2024, our school took a meaningful step towards spreading the importance of books to underprivileged children. We donated a total of 469 withdrawn books to the NGO "Love Care Foundation."

The donation ceremony was held in the presence of school staff, students, and representatives from the NGO. It was a moment of joy and gratitude as we shared the gift of knowledge and imagination with those in need. These books, although no longer in active circulation in our school library, still hold immense value and potential to inspire and educate young minds.

Through this donation, we hope to instill a love for reading among underprivileged children and provide them with access to quality literature. We believe that books have the power to transform lives, broaden horizons, and ignite imaginations, regardless of one's background or circumstances. Together, we have made a positive difference in the lives of children who deserve every opportunity to learn and grow through the magic of books.

 

Let us continue to spread the joy of reading and uphold the spirit of generosity and compassion.

SOCIAL INITIATIVE

 

On 20th April, 2024, 18 students and 2 teachers visited Gurudwara Bangla Sahib  to do sewa under the social initiative project. The students offered ardaas (prayer) and did sewa at the Gurudwara. They helped in preparing and distributing langar .They also helped in cleaning of the Gurudwara  premises .The students expressed their heartfelt feelings by doing sewa at the religious place. It was a wonderful experience for all.

ATAL COMMUNITY DAY 2024

 

 

It was indeed a day of great  pleasure for us to celebrate the Atal Community Day  today on 20th April 2024. Students from different sections of our society and near by school joined hands to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar .

A gathering of more than 100 people  came together to celebrate and innovate. The day was successful to foster an environment of innovation and creativity by exposing children to various ideologies and methodologies that are taught within Atal Tinkering lab of our School.

This helped the students to interact with other students of different backgrounds and create an environment of empathy where they benefitted from exchanging ideas.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

25th NOVEMBER 2023

 

Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, Ghaziabad in association with Rotary Club of Delhi Vivek organized Blood Donation Camp on Saturday, 25th November in the Schools Medical Room.
The team of Doctors and staff from Rotary Blood Bank Noida came for the Blood collection.
A large number of Parents and School staff donated their blood during the camp .At the end 89 units of blood was collected. A certificate of appreciation,
refreshment and a small gift were given to all the donors as a token of gratitude.
The blood donation camp was a huge success.
Organisation of the camp contributed to the community's health and well being.

CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION

Date: 4th November 2023

CLASS: III - V

The students of our school's primary department celebrated Children's Day with local NGO children of Bal Utthan Vidhyalaya, Brij Vihar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pardesh. Our school students represented a cultural program including poem recitation, dance etc. for NGO children. 

NGO children were also welcomed to perform on the stage. As a gesture of love and care, our students contributed and presented some gifts to our guests from the NGO.

 

 

 

GIFT OF HOPE – A SOCIAL INITIATIVE

 

 

     

 

Under the aegis of the Gift of Hope program, students of classes VI to XII contributed stationery material for the underprivileged children. 25 children of ‘Samridhi School’, Vaishali visited Bal Bharati, Brij Vihar on 20th May 2023 and were part of the various activities organised under the social initiative. 15 students from classes VI to XII were part of the activity. Our students interacted with the children of the School, gifted them the collected stationery material, offered them tips on health and hygiene, played games, created charts & posters and helped them to open up and talk about their experiences. A workshop on Art & Craft was also organised for the children.

It was a great learning experience for our children who understood the importance of being socially responsible citizens of the country.

20 Children and 2 teachers of Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar went to Bal Sahyog Orphanage at Connaught place, Delhi for celebrating Xmas with the inmates of the Orphanage. Children interacted with the children of Bal Sahyog, decorated their home and sang Xmas carol, cut cake, danced and played with the Bal Sahyog children. The students expressed their heartfelt feelings by distributing sweets and refreshment boxes to them .It was a wonderful experience for all.

7 Children and 1 teacher of Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar went to Kasha Vidya shilp learning Centre at Rampratha for the Project HOPE under social initiative Project taken up by the School. Interact club children interacted with the  children of Kasha School, taught them by story telling method explaining the importance of good Reading. Bal Bharati children interacted with underprivileged children, set up a TOY CORNER in Kasha School. The students of Interact club expressed their heartfelt feelings by dancing and playing with them .It was a wonderful experience for all.

CLASS/CLASSES :  10 INTERACT MEMBERS OF CLASSES  VI-X AND 25 CHILDREN FROM SCHOOL FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED

25 Children and 2 teacher of Kasha Vidya shilp learning Centre were invited to the school on 3 September 2022 under the social initiative project. Interact club children interacted with the guest children.  Resource person Mrs. Sadhna Peer from Hindustan Times  was also invited to take  workshop on Toran Making and Diya decorating . She taught children the technique of Toran making and Diya decorating thereby imparting a usefull skill to the underprivileged children.The students of Interact club expressed their heartfelt feelings by interacting with them It was a wonderful experience for all.

 

NAME OF ACTIVITY: VISIT TO AN OLD AGE HOME

DAY &DATE:  MONDAY, 30 MAY 2022

CLASS/CLASSES :   IX-XII

On Monday, the 30thMay 2012, 14 students from classes IX to XII of Bal Bharati  Public School, Brij Vihar, accompanied by two teachers Mrs. RDArora and Mrs Jyotsana Yadav visited Aagan Old Age Home  accommodating  24 old people at sector 105, Noida .

The children interacted with the inmates and performed simple yoga exercises with the Old people .

  • Students were able to develop empathy towards old people.
  • Students were sensitized towards the needs and conditions of old people.
  • Students were able to pay due respect to the elderly people.
  • Students made elderly people happy by spending quality time with them.
  • Students were able to make elderly people happy by performing yoga exercises with them.

 CLASS/CLASSES :  CLASSES  VI-VIII AND INTERACT CLUB MEMBERS

20 Children and 1 teacher of Kasha Vidya Shilp Learning Centre were invited to the school on 30 April 2022 under the social initiative project. Students of Classes VI to VIII had voluntarily contributed stationery material under the initiative thus promoting the habit of sharing and caring. Interact Club children interacted with the guest children. The students were gifted hampers of stationery material and refreshments and were involved in a number of interesting games, activities and presentations. The students were elated to be a part of this fun filled activity.

NAME OF ACTIVITY: Community day    

DAY &DATE:14th April   2018

CLASS/CLASSES : VI-XII

The Atal Tinkering Lab Community Drive Initiative aimed at maximizing the impact of Atal Tinkering Labs by extending innovation to children in the community who do not have access to formal educational institutions.

The purpose of this initiative was to provide these children with the same educational tools as the students in Atal Tinkering Labs to enable them to become problem solvers.

The NGOs participating in these interactions included organizations working with disabled children, street and working children, and girls from the weaker sections of society.

Teams were formed from different schools and NGOs. Team building activities were done.

Students asked to make something creative using balloons.

They were taught how to make soaps.

They were given newspapers through which they could make anything using their blend of mind.

 

LEARNING OUTCOME

  • It provides opportunity for the development of the constructive, explorative and inventive faculties of the students
  • They learnt to work as a team.

Blood donation camp was organized in the school. Parents and ex – students participated enthusiastically and donated their blood.

  • Students learnt the importance of blood donation.
  • They had hands on experience to organize the blood donation camp.
  • They learnt to raise awareness for this noble cause.

VISIT TO SPREAD A SMILE, DELHI

Gift Of Hope’- an effort to bring a little cheer and happiness in the lives of the unprivileged children and to help our children to grow up as socially responsible citizens was initiated on 2nd  May, 2017. The parents extended their whole hearted support for the project and the children contributed generously and enthusiastically. The gifts included a wide array of items- stationery, lunchboxes and water bottles, colours and colouring books, toys and games, dresses and non perishable eatables. The first phase of distribution was organized at Spread A Smile, Delhi, an NGO, working for the betterment of the disadvantaged sections of the society. Student representatives visited the centre on 19th May,2017 to distribute the gifts and spend some time with the children there. It was indeed an enriching and educative experience for the students as they interacted with the children there and came to know about the trials and tribulations of their lives. We hope to continue with this noble effort in the future and wish for your support and cooperation.
