In an effort to cultivate a culture of gratitude and appreciation within our school community, students of class IX participated in an individual activity designed to express their thanks to those around them. The activity encouraged students to recognize the contributions of their peers, teachers, and community members through small acts of kindness.
The participants prepared small acts as per the theme allotted to their respective House. Each participant was given a time of 2 minutes to present his/her act. Students also discussed their past experiences of kindness and how these experiences had a impact on their lives. Students expressed that the activity made them feel more connected to the people around them. Many noted that expressing gratitude was uplifting and made a positive difference in their day-to-day interactions.
Participants enhanced their social skills, including empathy and communication through the activity.

An Inter house Shark Tank Competition was held on 25th October 2024 in the
MP Hall for classes IX and XI, aiming to foster creativity, entrepreneurship, and
teamwork among students. Participants from each house presented innovative
business ideas on the theme provided to their house before a panel of judges,
following the structure of the popular television show, Shark Tank.
The competition was a resounding success, highlighting the entrepreneurial
spirit of the students. The event provided a platform for innovative thinking and
promoted collaboration and critical thinking. Teams presented a variety of
concepts, from eco-friendly products to tech-based solutions for daily
challenges. Students showcased strong public speaking abilities, using visual
aids and prototypes to enrich their presentations.

Society plays a pivotal role in achieving gender equality. Education is a powerful tool in this regard. By promoting gender-sensitive education, we can challenge harmful stereotypes and promote respect for all genders. An inter-house competition was organized in which students screened a documentary or short film on the theme of Gender equality, followed by a discussion on the various aspects of gender equality. It was a great learning experience for the students.

Students of class XI participated enthusiastically in inter-house activity based on gender equality. Students prepared creative comic strips illustrating the challenges related to the theme. The activity led children to critically think about the problems faced by the females even today in our society due to gender discrimination. Some of the students also presented solutions to this grave issue through their work. Students used humor as a medium to express their opinions on the topic. All the students performed well and remained relevant to the theme.

Report on Awareness Campaign Against Drug Abuse
On 11th September 2024, as part of a nationwide campaign by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), an educational video titled ‘Say No to Drugs and Yes to Life’ was screened during the zero period for students of classes 9 & 10.
This video was shown across classrooms on interactive panels, providing students with crucial information about the dangers of drug abuse, its effects on health and life, and the importance of making conscious choices that promote a drug-free lifestyle. The collaborative efforts of CBSE and NCB provided students with valuable insights into the dangers of drug abuse, promoting healthier life choices.
Learning Outcomes:
Awareness of Drug Abuse: Students gained an understanding of the dangers associated with drug use, including its impact on physical and mental health.
Consequences of Drug Use: The campaign helped students realize the legal, social, and personal repercussions of drug involvement.

Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, hosted a team from Indian Navy on 11 September ,2024 wherein the children interacted with the personnels from the Indian Navy and learned about the various facets of life in the navy. The students gained insights about career opportunities in the Indian Navy through video presentations and interactions with the team members - Commander Ajith, Lt. Commander Yamini Dalal,Lt. Pooja and Vicky Yadav LLOG (MAT).
The interactive session created awareness about various training facilities and provided exposure to young minds about opportunities in the Indian Navy. With the Indian Navy opening its doors and giving equal opportunities to women, the young girls of our school were highly encouraged to serve the nation in the future. The program concluded with a fruitful interactive session wherein the students put forth their queries to the team members.
MOTIVATIONAL VISIT BY A TEAM FROM THE INDIAN AIR FORCE

Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, hosted a team from the Indian Air Force on 10 September 2024. During this visit, students interacted with Air Force personnel and gained insights into various aspects of life in the Air Force. Through video presentations,PowerPoint presentations and discussions with the team— Flying Officer, Pranati S Barhi and Sergeant R K Tiwari -the students learned about career opportunities and training facilities in the Indian Air Force.
The session increased awareness among students and provided valuable exposure to potential careers in the Air Force. The inclusion of women in the Air Force was particularly inspiring for the young girls, motivating them to consider serving the nation in the future. The program concluded with a productive Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage further with the team members.
EVACUATION DRILL

This session aimed at familiarizing students and teachers with the evacuation process and prepare them to respond swiftly and effectively to evacuations in case of emergencies.
As a part of the drill all students and teachers were first asked to vacate their classroom on hearing the sound of a hooter. The floor wardens and the school council members guiding them in smoothly moving out of the building. Search and rescue team ensured that all the students and teachers have been safely evacuated from the building.
Mobile Book Exhibition (Mobile Library)
On 4th July 2024, our school had the pleasure of hosting a Mobile Book Exhibition (Mobile Library) organized by the National Book Trust (NBT). The event, which took place from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., transformed our school grounds into a vibrant hub of literary exploration. Students eagerly browsed through a diverse collection of books, discovering new genres and authors. Many seized the opportunity to purchase books,
fostering a sense of ownership and excitement for reading. The exhibition not only provided access to a wide array of literature but also encouraged students to engage in meaningful discussions about their favorite reads. The event successfully fostered a community spirit, creating lasting memories for all participants.
Learning Outcome:
The Mobile Book Exhibition enriched students; literary knowledge and stimulated a deeper interest in reading. It also highlighted the importance of community and collaboration in the learning process, showing that books truly hold treasures that can enhance our lives in countless ways.
Drop Everything and Read Activity
On July 2, 2024, students from classes 6 to 12 participated in the Drop Everything and Read activity. During this event, students were given a dedicated time to stop all other
activities and focus solely on reading their chosen books. This initiative aimed to foster a love for reading and improve literacy skills among students.
Learning Outcomes:
Enhanced Reading Skills: Students improved their reading fluency and comprehension by engaging with diverse texts. Increased Concentration: The uninterrupted reading time helped students develop
better focus and attention. Cultivated Love for Reading: Exposure to various genres and authors encouraged students to develop a lifelong interest in reading.
Overall, the activity was successful in promoting literacy and encouraging a positive reading habit among students.

National Technology Day
On 11th May Atal Tinkering lab of our School celebrated National Technology Day.
Students of grades 9 and 11 debated on “Artificial Intelligence a boon or bane” with a lot of enthusiasm and creativity.

World Book Day Celebration

The World Book Day celebration featured a special focus on the works of William Shakespeare. As part of the festivities, students created unique bookmarks inspired by Shakespeare's literature. These bookmarks showcased creativity and reflected themes
from his iconic plays and sonnets. Additionally, a display of Shakespeare's books was organized, allowing students to explore and appreciate the timeless works of the renowned playwright.
In a dynamic literary quiz called Bingo conducted during library sessions for students of classes XI and XII, participants were divided into teams and tasked with a creative challenge. Their objective is to recall and name books based on specific criteria. For
instance, they were asked to identify titles featuring colors, like "Blue Umbrella" by Ruskin Bond, or titles incorporating numbers, such as "2 States" by Chetan Bhagat. This activity helped students learn about different books and authors while having a
good time together.

Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, organized a ‘Career Conclave’ on Saturday, 18 November,2023 in its school campus in collaboration with more than 30 national and international partners offering counseling and one-on-one interactions on Defence Services, Futuristic Career Skills, Information about Foreign Universities, Career in Science and Technology along with Management and offbeat WOW careers.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Principal,Ms. Swapna Nair, Vice Principal, Mr. Hitesh Tiwari and other dignitaries. It was followed by the Principal’s address wherein she thanked the channel partners for their enthusiastic support and apprised the parents and students’ community of the dynamic education patterns. The delegates in the panel were renowned personalities like Major General Rajan Kocchar, Mr. Arindam Bhattacharya, Ms. Meenu Arora, Mr. Vaibhav Sharma, Mr. Kalrav Sarojwal, Ms. Sandhya Malik and several others. The conclave provided a platform to the parent-student community to interact with representatives of educational institutions, universities along with Defence Force personnel. The aim of organizing this conclave was to disseminate information and create awareness among students about various opportunities available in the field of education and employment. The enthusiasm of the students and parents community to visit the career conclave was evident from the eagerness with which they visited each stall and participated in the discussions. WORKSHOP ON IIM ADMISSIONS
DATE: 18th OCTOBER, 2023
Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, in collaboration with Hindustan Times organized an interactive session on ‘Journey to IIM’ admissions on 19 October,2023 for the students of classes XI and XII in its school campus. The session was taken up by Mr. Siddharth Singhal, assistant faculty at SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai with 9 years of experience in Career Counselling and Education Consultancy. This workshop was conducted with the aim to create awareness of IIM (Indian Institute of Management) admissions . It provided an invaluable opportunity to guide and prepare students for this competitive process.This workshop was designed to equip high school students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a successful application to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Management. This interactive session provided an overview of the various IIMs, their programmes, and the significance of securing admission in such prestigious institutions.Overall,it was a well-conducted,well-organized and a truly informative session.

It was a day to express heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the dedicated educators who tirelessly guided the students on their educational journey. The celebration acknowledged the profound impact teachers have on the lives of the children and honored their unwavering commitment to their growth and development.
To commemorate this day, a special assembly was organized in the MP Hall of the school, wherein the students from classes IX-XII came forward to show their high regard and indebtedness towards the teachers who have been the torchbearers since their initial years. The program was commenced by the prayer and remembering the lord, followed by the cultural program of dance and music which was exquisitely presented by the students. They expressed their love and gratitude towards their educator in the form of self-composed poems that echoed the tone of positivity and appreciation.
A Vote of Thanks was presented by the School Captains which reminded everyone of the pivotal role educators play in shaping the lives of the students and instilling in them the love for learning. Ms. Swapna Nair, the school Principal addressed the audience, congratulating the teachers and acknowledging the sincere efforts they put in every day to mould the children towards a better future. The celebration concluded with the melodious rendition of the National Anthem.
Teachers not only impart academic knowledge but also instill values, ethics, and moral principles in students, shaping them into responsible citizens. Students of classes IX-XII participated enthusiastically in two distinct yet interconnected activities, Alakrity and Upbeat Utopia, showcasing their talents and fostering a sense of gratitude within the school community.
Alakrity, an engaging Musical and Dance Inter House Competition for classes IX-XII took center stage. The event not only highlighted the theme but also allowed students to express themselves through music and dance. Each house embraced the theme, performing motivational and inspirational songs with energy and passion. The stage came alive with band formations and dance groups, all performances adhering to the time limits. The competition was not just a display of talent but also a testament to the collaborative spirit and enjoyment of all participants.
On the other hand, enriching the theme's essence, students of classes IX-X were engaged in a heartwarming Classroom Activity, Upbeat Utopia- crafting gift hampers for the dedicated staff members. This act of creativity not only showcased students' artistic skills but also demonstrated their appreciation for the hardworking staff. The meticulously crafted hampers reflected a blend of creativity and personal touch. The initiative went beyond creative expression, instilling gratitude and fostering connections among students and staff. By creating these thoughtful gift hampers, students took steps toward spreading joy and reinforcing a culture of appreciation.

A positive attitude can lead to success and happiness, while a negative attitude can hinder growth and progress. Students with a positive attitude are more likely to be motivated, engaged, and optimistic. They are better equipped to handle challenges, setbacks, and failures, and are more resilient in the face of adversity. A positive attitude also helps students to build strong relationships, work well with others, and contribute to their community.
Keeping this in mind, interhouse competitions- SPIN A YARN and FASHIONOMETRY were organised for the students of classes IX- XII on 12th May 2023.
As an effort to inculcate the design thinking skill set amongst our students, the inter house activity ‘Fashionometry’ was held for the classes IX to XII. Two teams consisting of two students from each house participated in the event. The students of classes XI & XII participated in SPIN A YARN, a story telling competition enthusiastically. Storytelling is undoubtedly a vital part of students’ curriculum and it always helps to enhance communication skills, creative thinking and increases the power of imagination among them.
The purpose of these competitions was to build confidence among the students for public speaking, increase verbal proficiency and give an expression to their innate creativity. The competitions were judged on the basis of expression, confidence, diction and presentation skills of the children.

Interhouse activity MELODART was conducted on 13th DECEMBER,2022, where the importance of hard work in life was depicted by the students, through musical bands and group dance performances.
As they say,”self belief and hard work will always earn you success” , students demonstrated the same through dance and music.
Each Team presented a song and a dance performance depicting the theme HARDWORK. Each team also tried to answer the questions of the quiz to collect maximum points for their house.
The judges for the event were the alumni of the school , Ms Elie Jain and Mr.Gurjot singh Sapra who have distinguished themselves in the fields of dance and music respectively.
Criteria of judgement was Creativity, Relevance, Coordination among participants, Originality of ideas and Question asked to the Viewers.

18th NOVEMBER 2022
On 18th November 2022, A Career Fair was organized at BBPS Noida.
The career fair was attended by 15 students from class IX to XII, accompanied by the school Counsellor Mitali Chatterjee. Nearly 30 representatives and counsellors from leading universities; colleges and educational institutes came to host the program. Students from Delhi and NCR schools attended the fair.

On 7th November 2022, A Career Counselling Program was organized at Deep Memorial Public School, Ramprastha Ghaziabad. The career fair was attended by 30 students of class XI, accompanied by the school Counsellor Mitali Chatterjee & Ms. Abha Sood.
Nearly 20 counsellors from leading university and colleges came to host the program. Students from nearby schools attended the fair.

Sustainability means meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. In addition to natural resources, we also need social and economic resources. Sustainability improves the quality of our lives, protects our ecosystem and preserves natural resources for future generations and is the need of this generation.
With this in view, the school organised an online workshop ‘Sustainability: Need of This Generation’, for students of classes IX-X on 8th October 2022. The resource person for the workshop was, Ms. Priya Jindal, who is a self employed service provider for experiential learning and is freelancer for graphics and web services. The importance of sustainability, how to be creative while recycling old things, how to conserve the things and reuse them were discussed in detail with students. An activity was also conducted to demonstrate how to reuse an old glass jar as a small in-house plant. Students showed keen interest in the knowledge imparted by Ms. Priya Jindal and participated in the workshop with zeal and enthusiasm.

Description of the workshop:
Teenage is the time when students face social pressure and make social habits. It's the time period of life long friendship and making good friends. Handling failure, pressure and emotions is important at this age.
With this view, the school organised an online workshop on '5 things I wish I knew in my teens' for students of classes IX-X on 8th October 22. The resource person for the workshop was, Mr. Amber, who is an alumni of 2002 and presently working as Senior Product Manager at Microsoft. He shared his personal experience to show how important it is to handle social pressure, failure and manage emotions. The presentation helped the students to grasp the important things which can help teens to overcome their problems. The personal experience helped in self- introspection and motivation in students. He gave examples of famous personalities like Thomas Edison when invented the bulb he said 'it's not 10K failures but learning which was learnt' with reference to handling failures. Students showed keen interest in the knowledge imparted by Mr. Amber participated in the workshop by asking for confusions and problems faced by them with zeal and enthusiasm.

Doodle for Google is an annual art contest open to students.
Students are invited to create their own Google Doodle for the chance to have it featured on Google.com, as well as win some great scholarships and tech packages for their schools.
Students of classes I to X participated in the Annual Art Contest of creating doodles conducted by Google on the topic “In next 25 years India will be…”. Students touched many aspects related to Green India, Digital India, Green Cities, Educated India and many more using their imagination and colours.
The budding artists showcased their talent and creativity by designing colourful doodle with full zeal and enthusiasm.

He addressed our students about the Basic principles of NEGOTIATION -A Key Life Skill. And the use of negotiation in day-to-day life.
Good question-answer sessions for students to understand more about life’s ups and downs in careers, and give them the confidence they can do anything.

The resource person for the workshop was, Mr Rahul Sharma, who is a photographer who aspires to explore the emotions prevailing in the world through his photographs. Various camera setting and composition rules to be keep in mind while clicking a photograph were discussed in details with students. The photographs included in the presentation helped the students, to grasps the tricks spontaneously. Description of the workshop:
Ergonomics is a branch of applied science that deals primarily with designing and arranging things that people use regularly. Ergonomics for students is the key to better grades.
With this in view a workshop on ‘Ergonomics for Students’ was conducted by the resource persons, Ms Prachi Mohan and Mr Ashutosh Aggarwal through which they encouraged, students to practice good posture in their day to day life, thereby putting less strain on their body. The workshop ended with a very interesting and knowledgeable questionnaire round. Children enthusiastically participated in this workshop.
TEACHERS’ DAY
A special assembly was organized on the occasion of Teachers day for the students of classes IX to XII. The program began with a prayer followed by Guru Vandana. A dance presentation invoking the blessings of the Guru was much appreciated by one and all. The principal Mr. Arvind Bhatia spoke about the evolving student-teacher relationship in the present scenario and reiterated the role of the teachers as life long mentors. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the school captain followed by the rendition of the national anthem.

A Talk Show was organized in the respective sections of class IX. The students were divided into groups of 6-7, where the group divided itself into anchor, panelists and audience. National and International personalities, influenced by Gandhian philosophy, formed the panel, like Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., Barack Obama etc. Panelists shared and discussed how Gandhian philosophy influenced them and how they managed their own movements.
The Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2022-23 was held with great pomp and dignity on Monday, 29th August 2022.
The ceremony commenced with seeking blessings from the Almighty, followed by the splendid and graceful performances of school’s choir and dance group. The ceremony was held with zeal and enthusiasm.
Honourable Principal sir handed over the badges to the Prefectorial Board followed by the swearing-in ceremony. He congratulated and motivated the office-bearers to strive for the best and take the school to new heights.
The School Captains shared their proud moments with their peers and promised to pledge to hold the school motto in high esteem
The function concluded with national anthem.

Keeping this in mind, a Storytelling Competition using humorous Memes on ‘How to face challenges in life through Positive Approach’ and Comic Strips on any famous personality that depicts a positive approach towards life was organised for the students of class IX and XII.
The young vibrant storytellers came forth with wonderful tales. While some stories provided food for thought, some reinforced moral values and some were humorous. The purpose of this competition was to build self-confidence through positive approach among the students.

Students of class IX participated in activities conducted on account of World Environment Day on 5th June 2022 from 9:30-10:15 am. Activities like an informative quiz based on environment, making creative fridge magnets using jam or ketchup bottle caps with a social message and making and planting of seed bombs were based on this year’s theme - ‘Only One Earth’. The activities aimed at creating awareness amongst students and also teach them a few methods of reuse of plastic. Students displayed their artistic side in preparing beautiful fridge magnets and seed bombs. They also discussed about the ways we can protect environment. Students took part in the activities enthusiastically and also found them to be fun and helpful.

As a part of the ‘Gift of Hope’ programme, an activity was conducted to thank our household helpers and guards who work tirelessly for us. It was an initiative to extend a helping hand and express our gratitude towards them.
In this activity, students prepared a handmade gift hamper consisting of stationery items on their own and gifted it to their household helper and guards.
This activity made our students understand and appreciate the role of these people in our lives. Students zealously participated in this activity to show their support, love and appreciation for humanity.

THEME: Cyber Bullying
An interhouse event on cyberbullying was organized for the students.
Cyber bullying is using digital technology to deliberately and repeatedly hurt people on various social media platforms. It often leaves teenagers with lowered self-esteem and low academic achievements. So, the students of Bal Bharati participated enthusiastically against this social issue. They showcased their creativity and talent with expressive posters and informative PPTs.
In today’s event about the same, students were asked to make a digital poster and a PPT. The chief guest/resource person for this event was Dr. Varun Saxena, Professor JNU. He expressed his views on cyber bullying as a social evil and encouraged students not to indulge in such activities. He appreciated the efforts by the school for organizing such effectual event which demystified the enigma around such social issue, which is otherwise overlooked upon.
The activity covered all the important aspects of this crime and how to deal with them. The criteria for judgement were: Content of Digital Poster, Creativity of Digital poster, Content of PPT, PPT Presentation, Team work.

The activity emphasized on the comparative analysis of festivals celebrated (How the festivals are different from and similar to the others) through pictures and data for the listed countries (India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh)
The students worked in groups of five and did extensive research about the ways and customs of celebrating festivals in India, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATIONS

Teachers’ Day Celebrations were organized on 5th September to commemorate the special day i.e. the birthday of Dr. Radhakrishnan - dedicated to teachers, mentors and guides. The students of Secondary and Sr. Secondary Department presented a special online programme on this occasion.
The program saw various events specially put up by the students to express their love and gratitude for their teachers.
- Digital Card Making on the theme ‘ Expressing gratitude towards Covid 19 warriors’. The event commenced with the student volunteers demonstrating the use of the different editors for digital card making. The participants then used various editors like Adobe spark, Photoshop etc to design beautiful cards vibrant with the colours of the rainbow.
- Radio Talk Show on the theme ‘School life during lockdown’. The students presented a Radio Talk Show in which they highlighted the differences between the school life during and before the lockdown through speeches, poems, anecdotes, shlokas and dances. The program saw an enactment of an interview with Dr. S Radhakrisnan, sharing his views on the student- teacher relationship. The students paid glowing tributes to their teachers through a Kavi Sammelan and Skit.
- Quiz on the theme- Teachers leading in crisis- Reimagining the future, in which all the participants joined in enthusiastically.
- An Amalgamation of Cultural Activities saw the students presenting solo songs, dances and instrumental presentations to express their regard and love for their teachers.

The movie making was organized for students of class IX and XI. The theme of the activity was “Child Rights Education”. Keeping this in mind, the School provided the opportunity to the students to make a platter of varied, delicious, fresh and healthy food. Students also garnished their food to make it look beautiful, eye appealing to eat, and added a creative style and flavor to their composition.
By this activity students developed –
- An understanding of the importance of nutritious food for health and maintenance of the body.
- Knowledge of the complexities involved in art of plating.
- Enhancement of craftsmanship and art.

Interhouse activity “Yoga-Young India, fit India” was conducted to convey a message to students that in these difficult and uncertain times of coronavirus pandemic we need to take care of our health more than ever. Students can do so by practicing yoga which will increase their mental, physical and spiritual health and instill them with the strength to fight and convert this crisis into an opportunity. It will truly make them a fit and healthy world citizen.
- Yoga can recharge our body, help us get rid of the toxins, negative energy and keep our vital organs functioning well.
- Certain yoga positions can help support , balance and boost the immune system
- Yoga is an art which connects our body, mind & soul together and makes us strong and peaceful.
Students learnt - The competition enlightened the students about the role of yoga in enhancing their overall strength and developing various skills to handle any situation. They were able to appreciate the role of yoga in the holistic development of an individual.
